Discover London’s Oldest Pub with a Silent Pool Gin Twist
If you’re a gin lover, you won’t want to miss out on the Silent Pool gin tasting session taking place at The Cheshire Cheese on Wednesday 29 March from 6-8pm.
This exclusive event is running in ‘The Snug’ at The Cheshire Cheese and will take you through the history of Silent Pool Gin, and the distilling process, highlighting some of the botanicals used in their recipe. But that’s not all – you’ll also have the opportunity to taste the gin, with the best tonics and garnishes to bring out all of the flavours.
If you’re one of the few people who are not familiar with Silent Pool Gin, it’s named after the Silent Pool, a spring-fed lake located in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The water from the pool is used in the gin’s distilling process, along with a range of botanicals, including juniper, coriander, lavender, chamomile, and many more.
But what makes this event even more exciting is that it’s free to attend, although booking is a must as spaces are limited. You can book your spot now at https://cheshirecheese.ticketleap.com/silent-pool–gin-tasting/details.
Olga Molodcova, the bar manager at The Cheshire Cheese, said: “Now spring has arrived we want to do everything we can to encourage people to enjoy a few drinks and socialise after work or as a treat. The event will be a taste sensation and we can’t wait to welcome new faces to the pub to enjoy it. We have an exciting line-up of events and competitions coming up so keep a lookout for more.”
And if that’s not enough to convince you to check out The Cheshire Cheese, did you know it’s a historic pub located in Little Essex Street in London? It was established in 1538 and has been a popular spot for locals and tourists alike ever since. The pub’s interior has remained largely unchanged over the years, with its low ceilings, wooden beams, and cosy fireplaces creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
So why not head down to The Cheshire Cheese regardless and enjoy a quality choice of drinks, fine dining, and superb entertainment and events? You won’t regret it! For more information about what’s on offer, head to www.cheshirecheesestrand.co.uk.
