In brief: A small candle-lit restaurant on The Strand, The Port House’s strength is actually its excellent drinks menu. Sip your gin and tonic from a huge goblet in one of the cosy booths during winter, or grab one of the tables outside in the summer months. The wine, port and sherry selection is also fantastic.
Our order: We tried a few different gin concoctions, including the 1) Hendricks and cucumber, 2) The Portobello Road and grapefruit, and 3) The Bloom Gin and strawberries.
For me, the classic Hendricks and cucumber won hands down though.
