On 30th October, the School of Wok is hosting their 3rd annual CSR event called Wokfor1000, where Jeremy Pang and the School of Wok crew and approximately 150 guests from different businesses will attempt to cook a mammoth 1000+ meals in one day, which are then distributed to those most in need across London.
The event is held in Borough Market in partnership with Plan Zheroes (a brilliant organisation seeking to eliminate food waste)
During the event, attendees will be working to raise awareness about food waste and food poverty across our capital. Participants will also get to learn how to cook up a selection of delicious Asian dishes under the supervision of School of Wok founder Jeremy Pang and his team of experienced chefs, with the overall aim of producing 1000+ meals that will be donated to those in need.
But it’s not all cook and no play, as your hard work will be rewarded by sitting down to enjoy a meal at the end of the cookery session, along with a prize draw and entertainment.
Tickets cost £100 +VAT per person, which includes a hands-on cookery lesson, a delicious meal served with drinks, a goody bag and much, much more! All profits will go to Plan Zheroes: Getting great surplus food to people who need it.
