The Chamberlain – London’s New Lounge Bar,  Restaurant and Cocktail Bar

If you’re looking for a nice after-work drink, a night out, or a relaxed dinner (though, let’s be honest, living in London you’re always probably looking for one of those three), the newly opened all-day dining restaurant and bar, The Chamberlain, has it all; a lounge bar, a restaurant, and an underground cocktail bar.
Area 1 is the lounge bar on the ground floor, which comes armed with an assortment of fine wines and beers as well as a number of popular brunch options, however eating can happen at any point during the day at the Chamberlain restaurant (area 2), with food being served from 7am to 10pm, running from breakfast to lunch and then dinner.
The food menu also contains a number of vegetarian and vegan options, catering for a variety of diets. Options include; Pan-fried sea trout with clams, chard and tomato sauce, Pan-fried sea bass with grilled artichokes, roast heritage tomatoes and garlic spinach puree, Roast butternut squash with charred heritage carrots, Laverstoke mozzarella, almond and truffle dressing, and more.

Area 3 is located in the basement of the venue. The cocktail bar, ‘The Chambers’ (name not to be mistaken for the toilets or an S&M dungeon), comes with a cocktail menu as London as it gets, with its alcoholic beverages named after some of London’s most famous tube stations, such as Hammersmith, Old Street and Leicester Square. The variety in the cocktails goes hand in hand with the variety in snacks offered in the bar, options including; Hot Wings, Miniature Bakewell Tarts, and Sweet Potato Croquettes, definitely something for everyone in terms of both alcohol and food.

If you don’t work in or commute from the area The Chamberlain is still worth going out of your way to get to for a meal, a casual drink, or a less casual drink. The cocktail and snack variety is commendable with good value for money, and the staff is friendly and efficient, even at the busiest of times. If you end up really like the place, it’s also available for hire!
