Meatopia fires up the BBQ for a Weekend of Meat, Music and Craft Beer

People keep asking if LDN Life has gone vegan, the short answer is no, the slightly longer answer is that vegan food has got so good that we have become even more selective about what meat we eat and when we eat it.

So if you’re looking for plans this weekend and a fussy meat lover, then Meatopia’s 2018 line-up features a raft of up-and-coming chefs quickly making a name for themselves, who will be cooking shoulder-to-shoulder with Meatopia veterans and world-renowned, international guest chefs.

This year’s Meatopia line-up promises to give visitor access some of the most ground-breaking and exciting chefs from across the globe.

These include critically acclaimed chefs making their Meatopia debut include Jeremy Chan of Ikoyi, Neil Campbell of ROVI, Sam Bryant of Coal Rooms, Freddy Bird of Bristol’s The Lido, Jackson Boxer & Andrew Clarke of St Leonards, Ben Davy from Ox Club, Rok Shoreditch’s Matt Young and Aaron Webster & Remi Williams of Smoke & Salt.

Plus Meatopia veterans. Yotam Ottolenghi, Nud Dudhia of Breddos Tacos, David Carter of Smokestak and Meatopia UK Founder Richard H Turner, all showcasing unique dishes never seen on their respective restaurant menus.

Adding an international flavour is Lennox Hastie of critically acclaimed Firedoor in Sydney, Athanasios “Tommy” Kargatzidis of Baron in Beirut, Joris Bijdendijk from Amsterdam’s famous Rijks, Aleksey Burov of Smoke BBQ in St Petersburg, Holy Smoke’s Johan Fritzell from Sweden and a very special cross-country collaboration from Uri Navon from Machneyuda in Jerusalem and Dan Yosha from Balagan in Paris.

Now in its sixth year, Meatopia UK boasts a fully curated menu of exquisite, one-off dishes, all cooked over fire by some of the world’s most sought-after and critically acclaimed chefs.

The values instilled by founder Josh Ozersky still hold true, to deliver the message of quality, sustainability and taste to the people. 2018 promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more delicious dishes, drink, fire and music than you can shake a fork at.
