FEMINASTY – VAULT Festival – 17 / 18 February

With the VAULT Festival now in full swing, there are some really great shows coming up. FEMINASTY is one such show that caught our eye and looks like it could be a must watch.

FEMINASTY had a smash-hit Edinburgh run in 2015, followed by a UK tour in 2016. So it makes perfect sense for FEMINASTY to take pride of place at the fantastic VAULT Festival line-up in 2017.

Comedian Megan Ford promises to deconstruct the patriarchy via a raft of horrible shallow offensive characters: a tabloid journalist, a video game heroine, a Tea Party politician, a scandalous flapper, and a 14-year-old YouTube blogger. Plus a healthy dose of stand-up, sketches, and also rap.

It’s billed as ‘The perfect show for when you want to laugh at how awful the world really is’, and there’s a lot of awful to go around at the moment.

But don’t take my word for it, here are some other reviews

“is a rollercoaster of irreverent, witty humour with a real agenda at hand” (★★★★ Broadway Baby).

‘A huge, huge talent.’ – ALT Magazine ★★★★ ‘
Stupendous… A masterclass.’ – Fest ★★★★

‘F***ing ace… I laughed my ass off all the way through and loved it.’ – Bryony Kimmings
