London Life UK gets ready for the UK Blog Awards 2014

In only a matter of days (25th April to be precise) we will find out if London Life UK has won an award for Best Food & Drink Organisation Blog at the UK Blog Awards 2014, which is to be held in the beautiful Grange St Paul’s 5* hotel in London.

For those of you who don’t know, The UK Blog Awards were set up to be the only Blog Awards that recognises a multitude of industry professional talent across the UK. It also provides a unique opportunity for individual professionals from a wide range of sectors and organisations to be recognised for their social media achievements through blogging, with the chance to network and be inspired by other industry bloggers.

We came across the UK Blog Awards via their weekly Tuesday night #BlogHour from 9pm- 10pm GMT on Twitter, which BTW we whole heartedly recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about Blogging or connect with like minded bloggers. (I know we are very much still learning)

So even though we were still pretty new to the scene, we’d already generated a great deal of interest and pretty big following, especially from the London Pop Up and Supperclub scene. So we thought why not enter, what’s the worst that can happen and the rest as they say is and will be history.

As part of the process we had to submit our Top 3 Blog posts and here they are below in all their glory:

Bar Chocolat Pop Up Review

A Baileys Pop Up restaurant full of chocolate needed great pictures and we got those from Aga Smolarska who took some beautiful photographs for us.

Jameson – SUNDAY SENSES – Review

Written by Justine Middleton, who after a bit of persuasion gave blogging a go for the first time with great results

Ronnie Saunders’ Diners Union – Interview

And finally an interview with these guys and we loved this one, not only because the main picture had a bad ass looking chef with a flame thrower but they were also really cool guys and their food was fantastic.

So while we’d love to win we’re not getting our hopes up, as we are up against nine other very impressive Blogs as you can see below. Regardless we’d like to thank everyone who has been involved in the London Life UK Blog project so far, without you it would be pretty pointless.

Check out the competition below, you never know you might find a new favourite blog, but if you want to see each of their top 3 Blog posts you’ll have to visit the UK Blog Awards Website for the full list and to see how London Life UK and the others get on on Friday night get following on Twitter, oh and of course let the best Blog win!
