Indi.go brings Indian Street food to Rich Mix Shoreditch

Tuesday saw the opening of indi.go, bringing traditional Indian street food to a new location at Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Rd. LDN Life joined locals, business people and celebrities. Which we are told included (singer Leo ‘The Lion’ Ihenacho, TV personality Josh Smith, comedian Salman Malik, alongside names from Asian cinema, including Munsur Ali, Dilruba Yasmeen Ruhee and Hassan Khan), though admittedly we were too busy trying a delightful array of  canapés and cocktails to actually realise (oops)

There was also music from celebrated DJ Ritu, which was interrupted by Rushanara Ali, MP for Bethnal Green & Bow, who thanked indi.go for the contribution it had already made to the local community, including the creation of a number of new jobs. With five restaurants within the group, also she added that indi.go had raised the profile of Indian street food staples.

It was our first experience of Indi.go but we were very impressed with the food we tried on the night and seems to fit in well at Rich Mix, which for those of you who don’t know is a charity and social enterprise that offers live music, film, dance, theatre, comedy, spoken word and a range of creative activities for people of all ages. www.richmix.org.uk

We look forward to going back there as customers to checkout items from the full menu, but if you can’t wait until our full review we’re pretty confident that Indi.go is a fine addition to the Shoreditch food scene.
