Summary
Peroni has done it again with their House of Peroni and turned the venue into an Italian Cinderellas carriage of boozy wonderment. The only problem is that it's only there for 2 weeks. Go before it disappears, Monday the 16th it will go back to being a pumpkin.
After walking past The House of Peroni popup on Shoreditch high street, as it sprung to life and a giant sausage appeared in the window (not actually a sausage). I finally managed to pop in and see what the fuss was about.
I’ve been to several House of Peroni popups in the past and they have always been good and well received, but this is their best one yet with a celebration of Italian citrus and Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
The venue is filled to the brim with citrus and other Italian products, to be honest, it looks like it’s been there for longer than a week and had a really cool but relaxed vibe as you walk in. Fear not party people, in the other room there’s music and dancing aplenty.
Award-winning mixologist, Simone Caporale, has also reprise his role as Master of Mixology but this time
with a twist.
He took a team of bartenders, paired with creative experts, on a trip to Northwest Italy where they were challenged to take Italian citrus fruits and translate them into bespoke Peroni-infused cocktails.
It sounds like a terrible job, but I guess someone has to do it.
Anyway, I could carry on, but I’m going back before it closes on Sunday night (October 15th), and writing more means less time at the bar.
