When I think about markets in London, I instinctively think of markets that have been about for years, Borough, Old Spitalfields, Portobello Road Market and the like. But there are also some great newer markets that have carved out a niche and while I instinctively think of the old favourites I always recommend Maltby Street market whenever some asks me which foodie market they should go to.
So hearing there was a brand new food market is launching in Primrose Hill this weekend, it got me a little bit excited. Here is a chance to witness the birth of a market and get another “I was there when it started” in the bragging bank.
Primrose Hill Market will take place every Saturday from 10am until 3pm set in the grounds of St Paul’s School on Primrose Hill Road and from the look of the traders, there will be a mix of on the day scoffing opportunities and take home loveliness.
Traders for their first market include: L’Atypique Wines, Olivier’s Bakery, Fosse Meadows, Bad Brownie, Cannon and Cannon, Borough Cheese Company, Wildes Cheese, Hook and Son, Ted’s Veg, Brockman’s Farm, Marsh Produce, PâtéMoi, Finest Fayre, The Frenchie, House of Sverre, Souperb, Popina, Elephant Juice Bar, Channel Fish, Pics Peanut Butter, Nuts 4 Honey, Bath Soft Cheese, Kooky Bakes, The Olive Bar, The Hop Locker, Wild Country Organics and Guest trader: Burger Bear.
So if you happen to be nearby this Saturday, get yourself down and be part of something new.
