New street food traders
Levels 5 and 6 of Peckham Levels are now home to a vibrant and diverse range of street food traders from South East London. Currently receiving rave reviews are 081 Pizzeria, offering a new generation of Neapolitan pizza and tapas-style snacks, and Bando Belly, with their fusion soul food inspired by multicultural London. Think Banh Mi breakfast rolls and crispy kimchi omelettes, as well as their famous Hot Fried Oreos. Boxwallah’s menu features Delhi-inspired street food for an authentic and unforgettable Indian experience. The tantalising selection includes chilli cheese aloo tikki, butter chicken samosas, Malai kofta and lamb nalli biryani. Ipanema Grill’s mouth-watering Brazilian BBQ menu offers platters piled high with kebabs, Cassava chips and Farofa, and Plantain Kitchen’s charming mother-son team are serving up delicious West African cuisine for all dietary requirements. Green Choy’s menu features classic Korean dishes made from ethically-sourced ingredients, such as Bibimbap and finger-licking Korean Fried Chicken, and Beza Ethiopian is a pure celebration of vegan Ethiopian cuisine. Dishes include Kik Wot, yellow split peas with garlic and turmeric, served with the native Injera flatbread.
Drinks at Peckham Levels
Returning guests at Peckham Levels will be excited to hear the venue’s much-loved bars, Near & Far and Lady Godiva, are also back open, serving up a wide variety of drinks and cocktails, as well as a brand new bottomless brunch offering at the weekend. Each bar is also set to play host to a variety of events later in the year. New to Peckham Levels this year is Old Spike Roastery, a very special coffee roastery and social enterprise, which donates 65% of its profits to support people experiencing homelessness. Creating meaningful social impact with every cup of coffee and delicious slice of cake, the roastery also acts as a great all-day hangout space. So too does the LevelSix yoga studio, which continues to provide a nourishing selection of food and drinks in its cafe.
Brand new retailers
As well as an impressive food and drink offering, Peckham Levels is now home to a selection of enterprising retailers from Peckham and the surrounding neighbourhood. This includes the new hairdressers Barber & Blow; resident tattoo studio Dog and Bone; minimalist, sustainable jewellery makers, Behô Studio; and Collaborate London, a store offering cleaning, restoration, and customisation for urban and fashion footwear. What’s more, Peckham Levels’ very own Create Shop will be selling wares from local traders and creators, including unique pieces of clothing, homeware, stationery, bags, outdoor gear, jewellery, accessories, arts and crafts and much more. Elsewhere, Peckham Levels’ favourites Level 6 Yoga Studio continue to offer a comprehensive programme of classes and healing treatments, and Plonk’s Crazy Golf are back and better than ever.
New & improved spaces
On top of all the new traders, Peckham Levels itself has undergone a huge transformative refurb, now offering a curation of new and improved spaces with creative, comfortable, fun, and functional zones. The food and drinks hall has been brought to life (literally) with refreshing green and yellow foliage, seating to match, and homely new lighting. The Terrace has been transformed into a mini oasis with festoon lighting and fresh air for the ultimate alfresco summer vibes. The all-new Chill-Out Zone is the perfect space for small or larger groups to meet, work, plan, or simply relax. The improved Auditorium is ready for multiple live events and workshops. And finally, the Kids Zone’s new chalk wall and cushioned area, make it easy to keep an eye on the kids whilst enjoying a coffee.
