On Monday evening LDN Life were invited on a journey with Fishers Gin, the authentic coastal spirit that is distilled in the seaside town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk. We were there to sample their unique gin and food pairing experience on a BOAT.

They have partnered with London Shell Co for a one-off event, and both teams are inviting guests to hop on-board the London Shell Co to take part in the Canalway Cavalcade illuminated boat procession which takes places on Sunday 5th May.

Guests will dine upon a three-course seafood menu which on its own was amazing, but when paired with four complimentary drinks from made with Fishers Gin (of course) it elevated the experience to a whole other level. If this is ‘giving people a real taste of life on the water!’ Then I’m saving up for a boat.

If you’re wondering why a Sunday night on a bank holiday weekend. It’s as part of one of the biggest waterside festivals, where London Shell Co will journey west through Notting Hill at twilight, beginning the gin pairing cruise with a classic Fishers Gin & Tonic.

It will then join the illuminated boat procession near Labroke Grove, whilst guests dine upon the Best of British seafood and produce paired with some truly delicious gin-based cocktails, combining local herbs and coastal botanicals that cleverly captures the wild and forgotten flavours of the British Isles. You can see the menu and some of the amazing food and drinks on offer in the gallery below.

Can’t make it? Well, this is the first of their gin and food series, as Fishers Gin is looking to partner with other likeminded seafood restaurants to showcase how they believe that it is a natural expression of the English coastline.

Spaces are very limited and you can book here.
