4 ideas for London Foodie fans this Bank Holiday weekend

It’s Bank holiday weekend yet again and again London Foodie fans have more choice than we care to mention, but here’s four things that might help you choose.

1) A Grape Night In are back with their 2014 #WineWednesdays Summer Residency and this time it will be in sunny Brixton. To toast their moving-in weekend they are in true AGNI style bringing you a Brixton Summer Party on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th. As well as the usual selection of fantastic wines and paired food, Indie ales will also be there for those who prefer the hop to the grape. Book your Early Bird time slot here (Ticket includes cocktail & nibble on arrival, plus special discount for #WineWednesdays)

 2) If the mighty hop and the Isle of Dogs is more your thing then how about 30 cask and keg brews at award-winning riverside gastropub, The Gun, Docklands.  Friday 23rd – Monday 26th Free entry

3) The Foodies Festival rocks up at Marble hill house by the Thames near Twickenham station this bank holiday weekend and if the sun comes out this should be great. However if you don’t want to risk it there are a few more Foodies Festivals coming up in Clapham Common, Kenwood House and Battersea in the coming months. Click here to book tickets or if you do a bit of searching you might find some for free 🙂

4) Again this one is dependant on the weather but if it holds off, why not go to our favourite market south of the river, Maltby Street Market is now open on Sundays and in our opinion, it contains some of the best independent producers around and even has it’s own Gin distillery at the end of the Ropewalk.  Checkout Bar Tozino, Spanish tapas bar that gives you that ‘you could be in Spain’ experience. Buy some happy Olive oil from the Gay Farmer and treat yourself to a Bacon and maple syrup brownie from the Bad Brownie company and wash it all down with a Little Bird Gin Cocktail or not, the choice is yours. Checkout the list of stall holders and decide for yourself.
